Nothing.....
Well, I'm here to report "nothing". I have done nothing this week - no stitching, no reading, no scrapbooking........nothing! It's been one of those weeks where I just want to veg out and it has been quite nice. It, of course, won't last and I'll be back to trying to figure out how to do everything in the few hours the day has. Until then, you'll find me in all my potato glory! LOL!

Spooky Spots
Well, it's almost the weekend and how happy I will be when it is here. It's been a busy week at work, home, etc. I have had a little "me" time to stitch though. I started Shepherds Bush's Spooky Spots. It's a fun piece to stitch but lots of color changes. Just one of those pieces you have to stitch one stitch at a time. Here's a sneak peek at my progress so far.
The fabric is very nice. It's 32 ct Autumn Blush linen and comes with the kit (silks too!). It's a very light ivory with just a hint of peachy colored splotches. Very subtle. The picture shown here is a little dark in comparison to real life. Just can't seem to get these pictures posted just right! LOL!

PJs and Scissors!
I spent all of last night (9:00 pm to 7:00 am this morning) having a great time scrapbooking in my pajamas at a fabulous new scrapbook shop here in town (Scrap Shack/website coming soon). We had nachos at midnight, a fashion show at 1:30 am and pancakes and bacon at 4:00 a.m. We laughed, listened to 80s music and worked on our pages. What a great way to spend the weekend. Looking forward to doing this again real soon!
This one is done celebrating my 40th birthday this year. I was lucky enough to go to another scrapbook crop in Columbia SC my birthday weekend.
I thought I would share 3 pages I put together while I was at the crop. Here's one I did of our spring break trip to Myrtle Beach this year.

And last but not least, here's my layout for the 4th of July.
Thanks for letting me share. Have a great rest of the weekend!

Recent Finishes
I thought I would go ahead and share some recent finishes with you. I am so happy with these two pieces. I am also happy to report they are also framed! Not sitting in a plastic tote under my bed, like so many other xstitch pieces I've done in the past.
Hope you enjoyed!
The first one is Blackbird Designs "Their Song". The colors are so nice and it is a wonderful addition to my recently re-decorated kitchen.
This one is La D Da's "Five Fine Roosters". It is stitched completely different (color wise) from the way it is charted, thanks to Abecedarius in Marietta, GA. This shop was kind enough to give me their conversions so the rest is history! This piece is also framed and is hanging in the kitchen along with the blackbirds. What's the saying....."birds of a feather stick together".

It's Hump Day!
What a busy week it has been so far. It's always rough coming back to work after being off for a holiday - but it was worth it! Nothing much to report here. I did get Lost Spirits made into a bellpull so it's ready to hang on my kitchen door come October 1st. Speaking of Halloween, have you seen the limited edition SCREAM HOUSE by Just Nan at The Silver Needle's website? It's really a cute piece. Not something I would probably use, but it is cute none the less. Go check it out!

Spooky Fireworks
I hope everyone had a happy 4th of July. We started the day buying fireworks and ended it with a bang! We were blessed with a rain shower a couple of hours before it got dark so we didn't have to worry about the yard being too dry and possibly starting a fire.
Later last night and into the wee hours this morning I was stitching away and I am happy to report I finished stitching BOF's Lost Spirits. This was a spooky-fun piece to stitch and I am so happy I decided to get it out of my stash and stitch it up. I hope to spend tomorrow finishing it into a bellpull. Here's a picture of the finished piece. The colors are much brighter in person.
Well, that's all I have for now. I promise to get more finished items posted in the next day or two. I'm still new to all of this but I have to say, it's quite fun!
Have a great rest of the weekend!
